This morning I woke up and headed over to the Pinterest beach! When I got there, they had an opening to get my hair done! I had the honor of getting my hair done by Clayton Hawkins who is a celebrity hairstylist. He has worked with many celebrities like Maddie Ziegler, Olivia Rodrigo, Dove Cameron, and Charlie XCX. I also had the privilege to get an evil eye tattoo done by Dobby Tattoo, who is based out of London, and my Aura read by a company based out of Los Angeles.

Then, I headed over to see a talk about the NFT revolution & what it means for brands hosted by Paris Hilton and Gary Vaynerchuk.

A few quotes that stood out to me were:

  1. "The most misunderstood communication is through what you buy."

  2. "The NFT revolution is about creators, artists, and community."

  3. "NFTs help with depth, not width."

After that, I stumbled upon a fascinating talk and demonstration of robots for people

who are physically ill. These robots allow them to work real jobs and communicate through the robot. It gives these men and women the confidence they didn't have previously because of their various conditions. We were able to have a conversation with the robots (who were real people talking in real-time from Japan). They were able to wave, turn their head, and have a conversation through the robot. It was one of the most innovative things I have seen in Cannes so far.

Then, I headed over to the Double Verify yacht, where they hosted a panel titled, "How Value-Driven Marketing Can Power Commercial Success and Deepen Lasting Consumer Connections." The panel included the EVP Global Chief Commercial Officer at Double Verify, the Global Head of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at Ogilvy, the Founder & CMO of Equity Project for All, the CMO of Diageo, the Global Chief Strategy Cultural Fluency Officer at Spark Foundry, and the Co-Founder and CEO of Scope3.

A few quotes that stood out to me were:

  1. "The general market isn't general anymore."

  2. "Data is missing in DEI."

  3. "The gap between what you want and what there is to offer is opportunity."

  4. "If leaders aren't invested and involved in an idea, it will die."

Then, our class from ASU was invited to a pool party hosted by Eduardo Marques. He is the CCO of Publicis Groupe Netherlands & Belgium. He has won over 48 Cannes Lions, made the top 40 under 40 list, and named the one of the top 30 most creative people in advertising.

After the pool party, we headed over to the Warner Brothers Gremlins party, and I finally ended the night watching part of Dua Lipa's concert hosted by Spotify!
